Elite Training is run by experienced coaches from local colleges, high schools, clubs and current and former collegiate players. All Elite training is organized by Ali Carey-Oliver. Ali has been coaching volleyball for over 20 years.

Prepped at San Gabriel High School, where she was a 4-time All-League selection, 2-time league MVP and 2-time All-CIF selection.  Also played basketball and softball. She continued her career at Cerritos College where she led the Falcons to a Conference Championship her sophomore season.  2-time All-SCC selection, All-SoCal selection and the state's top ranked hitter her freshman season.  Transferred on a full athletic scholarship to Southeastern Louisiana University, where she finished 3rd among all NCAA Division 1 players in service aces as a junior.  Transferred to Sonoma State University on an athletic scholarship, where she was named the team's MVP and captain. Carey-Oliver finished her playing career with two European Exposure Tours. She also competed in beach volleyball as an AA rated player. In addition to coaching volleyball, Ali has coached youth soccer, softball, baseball and basketball.

Received her AA Degree in Speech, Bachelors Degree in Communications and Masters Degree in Education with an Emphasis in Kinesiology.  She is a professor of Kinesiology at Mt. SAC.

Carey-Oliver and her husband Chris Oliver (former European pro basketball player), reside in Glendora with their two daughters Samantha (10) and Alexandra (7).



Tammy has over 20 years of coaching experience. Prepped at Gladstone High School where she was a 4-time All League selection in Volleyball, Basketball and Softball. Continued her playing career at Citrus College where she was a starting middle blocker for the Owls and 2-time All Conference selection and captain for 2 seasons. Conference MVP as a sophomore. Transferred to DI Southeastern Louisiana University on a full volleyball scholarship, was a starting middle blocker for 2 seasons for the Lions. Also played basketball for 2 seasons at SLU.

Head volleyball coach at Pasadena City College from 2007 - 2012. Head coach at Citrus College from 2003 - 2006. Coached club for Club West volleyball club, Top Gun, Pac Juniors and PVA. Has coached youth sports  for more than 20 years at the rec, club, college and grade school levels.

 Received her AA Degree in Physical Education/Recreation, Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and Masters Degree in Health and Kinesiology and has an EDD in Organizational Leadership.

She is a professor of Kinesiology  and Depart Chair at Pasadena City College.

Knott-Silva and her husband Shandon Silva (current Football Coach at Riverside Community College), reside in Azusa with their children Savanna (13) and Aiden (8).



Sam prepped at La Serna High School in Whittier where she was a 3-time All League selection. She played club for PVA under coach Ali Carey-Oliver and then at So Cal Juniors. She completed her collegiate indoor volleyball career on scholarship at Westmont College in Santa Barbara where she was a 2-time All Conference Selection, GSAC player of the Year, and 2-time All American. She joined the Mt. SAC Beach Volleyball  team in 2019. She competed internationally in the 2019 Global Challenge in Pula, Croatia where she was 1 of 2 Americans who played on a Japanese team.

She coached for Campfire volleyball club for 3 years and is currently coaching with So Cal Jrs. She is the Assistant Indoor Volleyball Coach at Mt. SAC and is working on her MS in Kinesiology at Cal Baptist University. Her BS is in Kinesiology from Westmont where she graduated with honors. She has 5 years of coaching experience.



Prepped at Santiago high school where she was a middle blocker. Competed for Mavericks volleyball club. Played 2 years at Mt. SAC where she was an All Conference player. Signed a scholarship to New York Division II school, Mercy College where she majored in Psychology and graduated with honors. Was a 2-time All Conference selection at Mercy. Held the conference record for blocks as a junior. Was an Academic All Conference selection as well. Current assistant volleyball coach at Mt. SAC. Preparing to go to med school. Experience coaching youth volleyball for the past 5 years.



Current assistant Varsity Volleyball coach at St. Lucy's Priory High school. Was a middle blocker at Los Osos in her freshman and sophomore year, played for St. Lucy's as a junior and senior. Played 7 years of club volleyball for 3 different clubs - Rancho Valley, Club West and Pacific Juniors. Started coaching  youth clinics during her junior year of high school. Has coached both indoor and beach youth volleyball for over 5 years. She is entering her 3rd season with St. Lucy's. Currently attending the University of La Verne, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Criminology. and plans to continue on to Law School.



Was an outside hitter at Claremont High School.

1st team  All League in her senior year. Played club at Rancho Valley Volleyball Club. Was a 1st team All League golfer as a senior. Received a Division 1 golf scholarship to CSU Bakersfiled. Competed for 1 season at CSUB. Transferred to Mt. SAC to play beach volleyball in spring 2019. Currently playing indoor and beach volleyball at Mt. SAC. Has coached youth volleyball for the past 3 years with Mt. SAC youth clinics, GYV Elite and club .



Pin hitter at Glendora High School. 1st team All League as a senior. Played club for Pacific juniors volleyball club. Current indoor and beach player at Mt. SAC. 1st team All Conference opposite hitter in freshman season. Majoring in Criminal Justice; enjoys free solo rock climbing. Has coached youth volleyball for 2 years.



Duarte High School grad where she played 4 years of volleyball. Named to 1st team All League as a senior. Competed for Club Heights volleyball club.  PLays indoor and beach volleyball for Mt. SAC. Has coached youth volleyball for 2 years.



Duarte High School grad. Was a 1st team All League selection in her junior and senior seasons. 2nd team All CIF selection as a junior. 1st team All CIF selection as a senior. SG Tribune Player of the Year as a senior. Prep Athletes So Cal Area player of the year. Played for Club Heights volleyball club. Has coached youth volleyball for 2 years.



Starting middle blocker at Walnut High School. 2nd team All League selection as a senior. Current indoor and beach volleyball player at Mt. SAC. Has coached youth volleyball for 2 years.



Downey High School graduate. Played club for ICON Mizuno. Opposite hitter and setter for Mt. SAC. Also competes on the beach team for the Mounties. Has coached youth volleyball for 3 years.



Prepped at Los Osos High School where she was a full rotation outside hitter. 2nd team All League selection as a senior. Played club at Forza.  Played 2 years of indoor and beach volleyball at Mt. SAC. 1st Team All Conference selection as a sophomore for indoor volleyball. Signed a scholarship to play indoor volleyball at Midway University in Kentucky for Fall 2019. Volunteers with her church youth group and Sunday school. Likes to free solo rock climb. Has coached youth volleyball for 3 years.



  Prepped at Summit High School where she was a middle blocker. All League selection as a senior. Played club at Forza.  Played 2 years of indoor and beach volleyball at Mt. SAC. 1st Team All Conference selection as a sophomore and 2nd team All conference selection as a freshman for indoor volleyball.  Was a middle blocker and outside hitter for the Mounties. Was an All Conference beach player in her first-ever season of beach volleyball. Signed a scholarship to play indoor volleyball and beach volleyball at Catawba College in North Carolina starting in Spring 2020. Used to run track, was a former cheerleader. Likes to model in her spare time. 



Janderi grew up in Mexico. She came to California and played high school volleyball for Los Altos, where she was an Outside and Opposite hitter. As a freshman at Mt. SAC, J trained as a setter and became one of the starting setters at Mt. SAC. She also trains on Mt. SAC's beach team. She is beginning her 2nd season as the starting setter for Mt. SAC.
