Winter Session

General Information

All practices will be held one day and one hour per week. Practice days may either be: Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday; either 3:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. Practices will take place at Hope Lutheran School, 1041 E. Foothill Blvd., Glendora. Games will be 40 minutes in length and take place at Citrus Community College on Saturdays, anytime between the hours of 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Practice begins Tuesday, January 1, 2013 and end Thursday, February 21, 2013. Games begin, Saturday January 5, 2013 and end Saturday, February 23, 2013.

Registration Fees & Refund Policy

Walk in registration dates for new and returning players; Saturdays; November 3 & 17, 2012 between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 11:00am outside Citrus Community College Gymnasium. Single Player – $150.00, sibling family member discount – $145.00 in the form of cash, money orders, or checks. Refunds must be in writing and received before Saturday, December 8, 2012. No refunds after that date. A $25.00 administrative charge will be assessed on all refunds. A $25.00 late fee begins Monday, December 10, 2012. There are no changes after the coach’s draft. If you have a practice time of day conflict, please note that on your registration form. Special requests to the organization after the coach’s draft will incur a $25.00 special request charge. Notating friends on your registration form is not a guarantee of team placement and refunds will not be given if requests are not accommodated. New player assessments will be Saturday, December 1, 2012. Specific times will be mailed per age division. Coaches selection of teams will be; Saturday, December 15, 2012. Phone calls will be made to homes notifying you of your team status. If you do not hear from your coach, call Glendora Youth Volleyball after Monday, December 17, 2012.

Divisional Breakdown

Divisional breakdown for girls: Division I – Grades first through fourth. Division II – Grades fifth and sixth. Division III – Grades seventh through twelfth. Boy’s Divisional breakdown will be: Division I – First through fifth grade; Division II – Sixth through eighth. Possible divisional changes may occur due to insufficient divisional registration.

Philosophy of Glendora Youth Volleyball

To stay with the organizational philosophy, all games will be strictly recreational, instructional, and most importantly fun. No cumulative win-loss or team standing will be recognized. Every child in the program will receive a participation trophy, picture, and game T-Shirt. If you have an interest in athletics and care about the quality of coaching your child receives, please volunteer to coach and the organization will provide the in-service, knowledge, and expertise training for you to enjoy. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
